St Catherine Monastery Overnight Trip from Cairo
The most stunning locations within the Sinai Region of Egypt are Mount Sinai and Saint Catherine’s Monastery. According to the Bible, Quran and Torah, it is believed that Moses received the Ten Commandments from God. You will have the chance to climb Moses Mountain (2,285 meters high) to see the sunrise. Also, visit the Saint Catherine Monastery and see the Chapel of the Burning Bush.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Catherine Monastery / Overnight in St. Catherine
Nile Empire representative will pick you up in a modern air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Cairo, then drive to St. Catherine for about 8 hours. Check into your hotel to relax and overnight in your hotel.
Meals: Dinner
Day 2: St. Catherine Monastery Tour / Drive Back Cairo
In the early morning, at 02:00 am, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Moses Mountain and you will be accompanied by a Bedouin Guide as an expert to guide you to climb the sacred mountain. Watch the stunning sunrise and take scenery photos with an amazing view from the top of the mountain.
After you climb the mountain and go down at about 07 o’clock, you will be guided to visit St. Catherine Monastery, which is considered one of the most famous monasteries in the world. The monastery was dedicated to one of Alexander’s rulers, St Catherine. After that, you will have your breakfast at the hotel & drive back to Cairo.
